September Numbers

Sorry folks.  I am bit behind in posting September 2007 MLS information.  Note that the year to date closed sales are down a mere 6.9% compared to 2006.  Sorry doomsayers... our Spokane Market is actually quite healthy!
 
September residential sales figures show a total of 521 sales for the month. This figure is down from last month when 709 sales were reported. In September ’06 there were 718 closed sales reported. These numbers reflect residential closed sales, site built and condo, on less than one acre in Spokane County. The average sales price for September was $212,598 and the median sales price was $189,500.

The year to date closed sales are down 6.9% when compared to the first three quarters of 2006. The closed sales through September ’07 total 5,392 compared to 5,794 over the same period in ’06. Year to date average sales price stands at $212,107 and median price is at $186,000 up 9.4% and 7% respectively.

Inventory growth has slowed somewhat. As of this report there were 3,273 active listings, up 32 listings from last month and up 662 listings from last year. Listings are up 22.9% when compared to last year at this time.
